Yogjakarta: Gunung Merapi + Borobodur + Malioboro

The 2nd day is Gunung Merapi
It has exploded 2 months ago before my trip
We are so afraid that the trip might be cancel
due to the incident, luckily its not :)See? this is Gunung Merapi
Covered by cloud

The whole area has been destroy after the disaster
The trees are all gone
see? how sad

The hotels, the temples, the mosque, the restaurants
All gone !!!
The villagers started to build back some small houses

Behind me is the Gunung Merapi
But there so many cloud

While waiting the cloud to dissapear
I bought some nice sweet fried tofu

The cloud did not go off anyway
We have to go down and head for our next destination

We 're not supposed to climb up due to the renovation
But we climb up in the end :P

So we go around and took some pics before we leave

Finally, i visited the legendary Borobodur

And we saw the gunung merapi
without cloud
cool
The final day
we went walk around Malioboro
This is a bakso soup
The local cendol
The durian tong shui
Nice and yummy

And we went to a shop and makan

Love this fried banana with cheese and chocolate
yum yum
Saw these few youngster
with their high bicycle
so cool
And a horse car
i should have take a ride
miss it pula
This is the only kitten i saw
Heard that after the explosion of the volcano
All animals died
so u cant see any dogs and cats on the street
And this is the only one
End of the day
we tried their Nasi Padang
its actually like our economic rice

have to leave the hotel and head for the airport again

    for borobudur, u should go in the early morning, last time i went, i witnessed the sun rise and the golden sun shine of borobudur, it's marvelous!

    I plan to go to Borobudur later this year. Still undecided if I should pay a visit to Gunung Merapi. Is it worth a visit?
